To greatly improve the execution of your vital customer strategies, a practical process is recommended to fully enlighten and align all key employees on the precise requirements that must be fulfilled to achieve maximum success from those strategies.

First, determine who in your organization needs customer information and other support to guide their decisions and actions, and the specific information and support they need (Designate).

Then pull reliable and precise information from currently available sources and, where unavailable, collect fresh details from target customers (Translate).

Lastly, provide each employee with the information and support they need to convert that knowledge into their most effective decisions and actions (Activate & Integrate). 

To ensure effective decisions are made and on-target actions taken over time, periodically repeat the above 3-step process and put in place other enablers such as those shown for  Phase 3. The Phase 4 initiatives close the loop by assessing the results from this process and identifying any key execution improvements which will lead to even greater effectiveness.
